criteria for possible Alzheimer's disease
Diagnostic criteria:
NINCDS-ADRDA criteria:
1) atypical onset, presentation, or progression of a dementia without known etiology
2) presence of a systemic disease or other brain disease capable of producing dementia, but not thought to be the cause
3) progressive deterioration of a single cognitive domain in absence of any other cause
- ref [4] suggests requirement for impairment in at least 2 cognitive domains
- memory impairment is not required [4]
